| Lion's Bay: Traffic |
2010 There are three exits to Lion's Bay. We are performing at the Harvey Creek underpass, which will thankfully be closed off at 3.30! We don't want to hit any cars. This is the second exit to Lion's Bay. The first exit is "Brunswick Ave" exit. It is called "Center Street" on the maps. When driving North (towards Whistler), the first exit is the Kelvin Grove exit. The second is the Lion's Bay Rd, also called Oceanview Rd., exit, where we perform. The third is the Center Street exit, also called Brunswick Ave. The Harvey Creek underpass is the Oceanveiw Rd. or Lion's Bay Rd. It is the second of the three exits to Lion's Bay. If you get there after 3.30, then you should be able to take the Oceanview Road exit and walk down. If not, see below. Google Map of Oceanview Rd. Exit. Traffic Changes The Harvey Creek Underpass, where we will be performing will be closed to traffic from 3:30pm – 7pm. Residents will still be able to enter the upper part of Lions Bay through the Lions Bay Avenue exit (Oceanview Rd). Cars heading North that need to get to lower Lions Bay Avenue will need to continue on to Brunswick (also called Center Street) and follow the detour signs to get back onto the highway heading South and enter from the Lions Bay Avenue exit. Cars traveling South, needing to access Upper Lions Bay will need to take the Kelvin Grove exit and follow the detour signs to get back onto the highway heading North and exit at the central Lions Bay Avenue exit. |
